Was in town visiting family and stopped here for breakfast. Amazing food, very friendly staff. Prices are more than reasonable.

Down home hospitality at its best excellent food

Amazing experience! Everything from Susy, the food, to the environment. We stopped in for breakfast and left with an experience worth writing about. The food was all homemade, in front of you! We are in from out of town but felt right at home!

The atmosphere at Rosy’s is one of a kind and the food is great!

A local classic. It is what it is. Cheap food , low prices and that classic diner feel won’t disappoint. You get what you get and don’t throw a fit!

Very mom and pop feel to it. The food is affordable and is decent tasting. A mix of canned and fresh foods used. The toasts are store bought breads. U.P. community feel while eating. Not very much large party seating, but still an eat-in experience!

Had a delicious, home cooked breakfast. Rosy was really friendly, funny & cool. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Escanaba!

I wish there were more places like this. The owner cooks your food right in front of you. Great atmosphere!

We love Rosie's. It is one of the reasons I go to the UP. Even when it has been a long time between visits, Rosie remembers us. Her attitude is great and tells it like it is. Anyone that says she or her daughter is rude really needs to get thicker skin. Rosie's is a true gem.

Don't eat here. Not taking virus seriously by coaxing people to not wear a mask by the signs posted. Stay safe and eat somewhere else

I love this place. Went one time and NEVER forgot it. My sandwich was loaded fat and good like a sandwich should be. The staff and owner are all very friendly. I promised the owner I would be back and I’m hoping that it’s very very soon!

The food here is AMAZING, but in all honesty the staff/owner really make the place! The price is beyond fair and the company is excellent! We will definitely be back!

Up for the fishing derby with the fellas 8 of us sat at the bar in front!! And it was the greatest experience and most amazing food! A small town gem!! Loved Rosy and the hospitality of here sweet daughter!! 😊 I think we all ordered 2 meals each 😂😊 Can’t WAIT to go back!!

Yummy turkey and mashed potato with gravy platter! Rosy's melt was also good. Comfort food that may require a nap after eating 😋

Not following covid guidelines. Walked in and it was packed shoulder to shoulder. I did not see one mask, turned around and walk right back out.

The food was alright - pretty average which is okay. The staff though was not wearing any masks and there was a sign posted on the door that made fun of the mask mandate for Covid saying you don’t have to wear a mask in this restaurant. The staff was pretty like rude. Did not respect physical distance with them not wearing masks, kinda demanded things. Just odd, I hope the health department doesn’t shut them down. Sad that they don’t take the mandate seriously since the staff is mainly elderly and would be very effected by Covid.

Our office is right across the parking lot from Rosie's. I have recently started going over there for lunches. Soup is one of my favorite things, and Rosie always has a great selection of homemade soups! She and her daughter are very personable to chat with while I wait for my to-go order. I will definitely keeping heading over there for lunch!

Rosy was fun to talk to while she was preparing our breakfast. The food was delicious! Very nice atmosphere was like going back in time to the 1930's.

We love this place and Rosy! Her pancakes are out of this world. Sausage and sausage gravy are delicious. Bacon is too. Plus talking with Rosy is a hoot!

A MUST Stop! Our family was full of food and laughter after eating at Rosy's. It was a great cozy atmosphere and great service! The portions were huge! Rosy and "Carby-Barbie" were great! We hope to visit again before Rosy retires! YUM

Go where the locals go, and eat at Rosie’s Diner! I recommend eating at the bar as you may get the opportunity to meet Rosie and/or her daughter. They make you feel right at home and tell great stories. Not to mention their breakfast was delicious!

EXTREMELY UNIMPRESSED. One waitress working who didn’t wear a mask, used her bare hands without washing them multiple times while cooking customer’s meals after having touched money, the phone, etc. We are in the midst of a pandemic, absolutely unacceptable.

Great pancakes, I like the thin ones. The beacon is great also. We get back there anytime we are in town.

Great food Rosie has a sassy little schtick that makes for a great atmosphere.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! Amazing home cooked meal right in front of us. Felt like I was watching my mom cook! Felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. Everyone was so friendly! Food was outstanding, staff was attentive and the atmosphere was very homey!

Well,how can I put this?? I absolutely loved Rosy and her daughter. Myself and 3others I ride with decided to take a ride around lake Michigan. On the way around we got to escanaba and decided to stop for lunch. We like to visit mom n pop joints when we're riding. Rosy the c b h was the best!!Four flatass bikers from Joliet will be back.

This is the garbage omelet. This thing is BIG and it’s TASTY! It comes with toast, good luck if you have room for it though. We stopped here by chance and so glad we did. Great service, hilarious staff and homemade food! Rosy makes food to feed your soul ❤️ we will make a return from Kalamazoo to eat here again!

Rosy is a no nonsense chief cook and bottle washer. She has a good customer base as evidenced by butts on stools. The food was good, coffee decent and prices reasonable.

Very rude . and if you go in as a new person.they test you very bad. Will never go back

Would love to give this local throwback diner 5 stars for atmosphere alone. The vintage stools, malt machine, counter and photos on the wall are great. 4 of us stopped for breakfast and while the food was pretty good diner fare, the cream for my coffee was bad and had a hair floating in it. Would have said something to the server/cook/waitress/owner but her demeanor and remarks bordered on insults. Really was afraid she'd take all my food away if I said something about the coffee. I'm all for some fun bantering, but this was a little over the line. I can overlook sticky menues, but not bad coffee. Rosy's has lots of character(s), wish the experience would have been better.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way to Central Lake, and we loved it, even my picky children. Rosy and our server were excellent and food is soooo good. Highly recommend!!

The life time experience of Dining in a proper family owned and run dinner was given by Rosy's Diner. She knows what she is cooking and has the special roast coffee. The owner was welcoming and took good care of us Tourists.

This is a fantastic gem that we stop at anytime we make the long drive to the western Upper Peninsula. Rosy has fantastic scratch made food and you definitely won't leave hungry! She has just the right amount of sass to make it an experience to visit and her daughter is following in her mom's shoes. Thank you for the wonderful breakfast food for our long drive home to Central Michigan. We'll be back on our next trip to my wife's hometown (Iron River).

Stopped on our way home for a hearty breakfast. Food was amazing. They had a homemade corned beef hash and biscuits and gravy with homemade sausage, so good!

If you don't eat here while in Escanaba you will be missing out!! Amazing food and the family service will make you feel right at home.

Rosie is hilarious. Good old girl from Texas running a greasy spoon in the UP. What more could you ask for? Hearty homemade diner food. Great local vibe.
